Robin "Lockslayer" - Cleric-Rogue (OC Commission)

Robin is of an unusual heritage, having a High Elf father and a Halfling mother. Living up without father combined with various rumours about her parents tought Robin to despise elves in general and her father specifically. Having no nearby family members except her mother who spend most of her time earning money for the two of them, a childhood filled with mockery of the other children and rumours and looks on her of various kinds made her look for entertainment on her own without the need of any peers.

At first Robin just roamed the village street during night time to stay away from the village people, but it did not take long until Robin started pickpocketing the drunk tavern folks, especially those with lustful gazes towards her or her mother; and after some success and with a set of lockpicks she bought from a travelling salesman she also trained herself in lockpicking, although at first she didn't steal from the chests she opened and instead enjoyed switching objects from between originally locked places. However, after she managed to use her skills to bring her mother through a devastating sickness she started stealing more valuable stuff than just coins. One night she got caught by the tavern owner's son, who offered her staying silent about her activities, if she spend a night with him. After she hit him and unintentionally hurt him worse than she wanted she decided to flee the village.

After travelling unknown lands for weeks at some point Robin found streets and after that she soon arrived in the capital of the human kingdom. There she met a group of street children and joined them with the main intention of not being alone in a foreign city, but also because of their shared skills and misfortunes. It took 2 years until Robin was caught again, but this time she ended up in prison. Thinking her time was over she got surprised, when an Orc was brought to her by the guards who told her of a Guild of adventurer who would be willing to take Robin into service, if she wanted to use her skills for something legal. And happy to get out of prison, Robin accepted and told them her name, adding "Lockslayer" with a mischievous grin.

During her services for the Guild Robin came across a necklace that belonged to the God of Death, Diolaris. While originally being cursed to lead to an early death of everyone wearing the necklace without being able to remove it except of dying, it was Robin's first step into the divine world, after the Goddess of Life managed to prevent Robin from dying. And with more weeks and Guild assignments passing by, Diolaris' attention on her seemed to grow until he offered her to take part in his powers. But instead of taking him up on the offer to make Robin a goddess herself, she pledged to become his servant.

OC commission for a client buddy of mine, who also provided the wonderful and immersive backstory. Basically, this is his first official artwork for his roster of characters and i'm honored to help contribute that!
